JOHN GALLIGAN teaches writing at Madison Area Technical College in Madison, Wisconsin, where he lives with his wife and two son. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with degrees in Environmental Policy (BS) and English Literature (MA).
Galligan's publications include short stories (Epiphany Best Story Award and Pushcart Prize Nomination, 1993) and feature film screenplays. He is also a former newspaper journalist. Galligan has lived, taught, and traveled extensively in Japan. He is the author of the book Red Sky, Red Dragonfly, a literary novel set in Japan. Most recently, he and his family are the author/illustrator team behind the acclaimed children's book, "Oh, Brother!" said the Mother of Tony Pepperoni.
