Fly Rod 9wt, 9ft, 4pc Jim Teeny Signature Series Fly Rod by Temple Fork Outfitters
"A lot of my fishing time is spent going after Steelhead, Salmon and Trout. Also, Saltwater for Bonefish and Tarpon. It is important that my fly rods meet all the requirements necessary to successfully fight big fish. They are as good as any rod I've ever fished with."
- Jim Teeny
Jim Teeny demanded his new TFO fly rods be strong, light weight, fast action with a powerful lower butt section and sensitive tip. The Jim Teeny Series fly rods have it all. They are everything you look for in a quality rod at an affordable price. All rods have full wells grips and fighting butts.

Fly Reel Super 8 8/9 Fly Reel by Abel
Abel has machined Large Arbor reels for over 10 years, making Abel a pioneer in the field.
Most Super Series Reels spools are 100% interchangeable with spools of comparably-sized standard Abel Big Game Reels. Abel calls that InterchangeABELity. You'll call it a miracle. Essentially, it gives you two totally different reels with different line capacities at the price of 1-1/2.
Example: Consider a Super 8 reel and Big Game #3 spare spool. The Super 8 holds an 8-weight line with 200 yards of 20# backing, the perfect weapon for bonefish, school stripers and reds; while the interchangeable #3 spool will hold a 12-weight line plus 250 yards of 30# backing, or 500 yards of 50# Spectra, for tarpon and sailfish.
Nothing else can compare. No other reels have the ability to interchange spools and frames and no other has the Abel drag system that gives you the ability to Stop-a-Sub.
All Super Series reels are ported (ventilated) using a "rounded oblong" design that maintains total strength and rigidity in the metal. They're light, yet retain all of Abel's traditional strength and integrity.
DOUBLE PAWL SYSTEM
New in 2007, This reel is fitted with Abel's new Double Pawl system. Two pawls instead of one are a bit more reliable when big fish are headed for the horizon; but the best thing is the really neat sound they make. Instead of click click click, double pawl reels hum a merry tune of clickclickclickclick. Wheeee!
Abel reel frames and spools are machined from cold finished 6061-T6 aircraft quality aluminum. Cold finished aluminum is significantly more expensive than extruded aluminum, but the cold finishing process dramatically increases the molecular density. It creates a stronger material. Reels are then precision machined (not die cast) on C.N.C. lathes and mills.
They are then both machined and hand de-burred, hand polished, cleaned and inspected.
The end result is a lightweight reel that's tough as a Marine drill sergeant and destined to be fished by you, your children, grandchildren and theirs!
Abel reels are available in over 25 custom anonodized finishes.
Each artistically anodized reel is one-of-a-kind. No two are alike because each is anodized individually using our own artistic metallurgical process.
***Black Finishes are readily available. Custom finishes can take up to 8 weeks.

Retrieve Information
If you cast with your right hand and retrieve with your left hand then you want Left Hand Retrieve.
If you cast with your left hand and retrieve with your right hand then you want Right Hand Retrieve.
Note: Some prefer to use the same hand for casting and retrieving by setting the hook before switching the rod to the opposite hand. This is perfectly acceptable. The important thing is that you retrieve with the hand with which you are most comfortable (fastest retrieve).
Backing Material Information
We will put 20# test Dacron backing material by 3M-Scientific Anglers on to your reel.
Be sure to select your retrieve (see above).

RIO Coldwater Clouser™ Fly Line for Big Nasties
Casting heavy or wind-resistant flies has always been a challenge, even for good casters. RIO collaborated with Bob Clouser, famed fly tier, guide, instructor and conservationist, best known for inventing the Clouser Minnow, one of the most versatile flies for both fresh and saltwater. The Clouser™ line, with a unique reverse compound taper and a bullet front taper, smoothly transfers energy to prevent the characteristic "kick" with heavily weighted flies. This taper effortlessly turns over heavy flies into the wind for both short and long casts. Whether casting Clouser Minnows for stripers or smallmouth bass, poppers, leaded leeches or heavy nymphs and indicators, the Clouser line is a perfect choice for all anglers.
Available in a 9wt (WF-9-F) or 10wt (WF-10-F) for this rod & reel combination.

RIO Bonefish Fly Line
The demands of bonefishing require a balance of long and short casts with precise presentation. RIO’s Bonefish fly line does just that, starting with a medium-length front taper to improve turnover without sacrificing presentation, and a slightly longer back taper to smooth out the casting loop. The tropical AgentX coating combined with a Powerflex single-strand monofilament core results in longer casts and a line that will not wilt in most extreme tropical conditions. With AgentX, the line floats higher than competitors’ lines, is easier to pick up off the water, and unlike competing products the running line will not sink and tangle while wading. Includes a welded loop at both ends for easy rigging.
Available in a 9wt (WF-9-F) for this rod & reel combination.

Bruce Chard Professional Series Fly Lines by Jim Teeny
Captain Bruce Chard, a full time Florida Keys flats guide, FFF casting instructor and fishing photographer has designed a series of fly lines that best handles the conditions needed to cast, present, and fish a heavily weighted fly hard into the wind.
Bruce's tournament winning lines were the reason for the development of Teeny's HPC coating.
The most prestigious fish deserves the most prestigious line. You need a long cast and a delicate, accurate presentation when you have calm conditions versus shorter casts with a powerful tight loop that will drive a longer leader with a heavy fly hard into the wind. The hard "HPC" (high performance coating) coating and stiff mono core will help in creating tight loops and turning over long leaders, while minimizing line tangles.
These lines are excellent for fish ranging from permit, tarpon, bonefish, redfish, shark, barracuda and anything else that requires an accurate presentation with a large fly.
Available in a 9wt (WF-9-F) or 10wt (WF-10-F) for this rod & reel combination.

RIO Saltwater Tropical F/I Fly Line
The Saltwater Tropical F/I line is built on a medium stiff Powerflex core that is extremeley easy to anneal (stretch).
The line features a floating tropical coating with a 9.5 ft clear intermediate tip for deeper flats.
The Clouser taper is perfect for casting into a fifteen-knot breeze.
Sounds unbelievable, but this line will turn over a 12 ft - 15 ft leader in a strong wind.
A 9 ft leader attached to the clear AquaLux tip gives you an effective 18 foot leader, which is stealthy enough for any wary fish.
Your guide can still follow the fly at this length, while a totally clear line is really tough to track.
Florida bonefish are normally found in deeper waters of two to four feet. With the 9.5 ft clear sinking AquaLux® intermediate tip, you will get your fly down to the bonefish.
Available in a 9wt Floating/Intermediate Sink (WF-9-F/I) for this rod & reel combination.

Jim Teeny T Series 24ft Sink Tip Fly Line
Jim Teeny's original plan was to develop a one piece fly line with a sinking deep water express shooting head mated with a floating running line that would be easy to cast and very strong. That it would be perfectly balanced and color coded so one could easily see when they could roll cast or pick the line up off the water at the optimum time for the easiest and best results. Because he lives on the west coast, the lines were originally designed for fly fishing for salmon and steelhead on our west coast rivers and streams.
Shortly after their introduction, it was apparent that many other fly anglers had their own ideas about other uses for the lines. In the salt for stripers, blue fish, halibut, bill fish, Tarpon and many others, all fell prey to the T - Series lines. Realistically, what the T - Series & Saltwater Series fly lines have done is open up new fisheries both fresh and saltwater. There is hardly a fish that we cannot go after and quite possibly land with a certain amount of luck.

The TS Series represents a longer version of the original Teeny T Series fly lines. The sinking section is 30 feet long with a 70 foot running line section, totaling 100 feet. The title of the line is Saltwater Series, but it works equally well in freshwater when distance is important.
Teeny Designed this line for anglers who prefer to cast long distances of up to 100 feet. Many have found this line to be very useful on the big wide rivers on the west coast where casting distance is important. If you wish to fish close in, say 20 to 30 feet, you can easily do this. Simply roll cast some of the sinking line. Short leaders seem to work best with these lines. Jim usually runs about 4 feet of leader off the fly line when fishing for Steelhead or Salmon. The best way to cast this type of line is to get the color change to your rod tip and roll cast your line to the surface and then immediately make a single false cast and then shoot it where you want it to go. A great size for Billfish is the TS-550 which is perfect for quick casting and excellent balance to turn over large flies. This line works equally well in both fresh and salt water.
Available in a 250 Grain 7,8,9 Weight 6 inch-per-second, 350 Grain 8,9,10 Weight 7 inch-per-second, or 450 Grain 9,10,12 Weight 8 inch-per-second Sink Tip for this rod & reel combination.

The New TS-T Flats Taper line has a 10 foot Clear Tip (slow sinking) along with 14 feet of regular intermediate sinking line. Total tip length is 24' of slow sinking head and 76 feet Floating. This line comes one piece from the factory for greater strength and smoothness when casting.
The big advantage this line will have is on fish that are swimming deeper and it's important that your fly be presented at the proper level. After experimenting with the clear tip or clear lines it's been proven time and time again that an all clear or long clear tip is a definite disadvantage for the angler and also for the guide. They are to hard to see and follow for accurate casts and presentation. Teeny designed a similar line back in the early 80's for Tarpon fishing at Homosassa Springs in Florida. Many seasons passed by as he longed for a line such as this for his arsenal.
Available in a 300 Grain 8,9,10 Weight 2.0 inch-per-second Sink Tip or 400 Grain 9,10,12 Weight 2.5 inch-per-second Sink Tip for this rod & reel combination.

Jim Teeny Warm Water Series Series 30ft Sink Tip Fly Line
These lines have been developed to address warm water fishing with a fast sinking line. A braided mono core and our new "HPC" (high performance coating) coating allows this line to be fished in the warmest of conditions. This line is great for any tropical area where water temperatures can and do exceed 70 degrees.
Deep channels and underwater structures can be reached with this NEW Warm Water Series fly line. Teeny has color coded these lines the same as all of our T-Series type lines for easier handling and that added visual control. When you see the color change at the tip of your rod you then can roll cast it to the surface and single false cast shooting the line with confidence that you are at the perfect balance point. These one-piece perfectly balanced lines will cast and perform like our world famous original T-Series lines.
Available in a 325 Grain (8,9,10 Weight) 6.5 inch-per-second Sink Tip for this rod & reel combination.

RIO Density Compensated (DC) 24 Ft Tapered Sinking Tip Fly Line
The best sinking tip fly line in the world whether you are streamer fishing for trout or using marabous for steelhead and salmon. The DC 24 ft sink tip line has been the line of choice for steelhead anglers for many years.
No more level sinking tips - although the tip has a smaller diameter than the thicker sinking belly, the tip will sink first, presenting the fly at the same level as the fish for more strikes.
The short, thick body section behind the sinking tip keeps the heavy density tip from hinging and is much easier to cast than competitors’ lines. The balanced length of thick floating body ensures a no hinge effect during the casting stroke.
The durable running line ensures that these lines will outlast those of any competitor.
Available in a 300 Grain 8-9 Weight 7.3 inch-per-second Sink Tip or 400 Grain 10-11 Weight 8.4 inch-per-second Sink Tip for this rod & reel combination.
Thick floating body to turn over sinking tip without a "hinge" effect

This line offers a 40 ft water clear AquaLux® head and a super slick, supple running line on a supple coldwater single strand monofilament core for smooth casting and minimal coiling.
A short front bullet taper and medium length back taper (based on RIO's Clouser line taper) propels large flies to stripers, bluefish and seatrout.
Includes welded loop on the front end.
The perfect saltwater intermediate line in cooler conditions.
Available in a 9wt Intermediate Sink (WF-9-I) or 10wt Intermediate Sink (WF-10-I) for this rod & reel combination.
The Saltwater I/I line is a full intermediate [1.5-2.0 in/s (3.8-5.1 cm/s)] line with a green tint and a 9.5 ft clear tip. It is a great line for laid-up fish that are a little deeper in the water column or for keeping in touch with the fly in choppy water. Based on the Clouser taper and built on RIO's Powerflex core with a tropical coating, it is the perfect full intermediate line for fishing in warmer climes. Welded loops on both ends.
Available in a 9wt Full Intermediate Sink (WF-9-I/I) or 10wt Full Intermediate Sink (WF-10-I/I) for this rod & reel combination.

Density Compensated (DC) Type 4 Full Sinking Fly Line
The DC series of sinking lines have a denser tip than the body, ensuring the line sinks straight, not in the curve of regular sinking lines. This results in better bite detection and more hook ups. These lines are made on a supple core for memory free performance and have a super smooth, tungsten impregnated coating that makes distance casting easy. An essential range of lines for the serious lake angler.
Available in a 9wt (WF-9-S4) 4 Inches-per-Second Full Sink for this rod & reel combination.
