Originally designed by John Duncan of Dave Duncan and Sons Alaska Guides, this handy tool is the best on the market today and the easiest to use. It offers a push or pull release which is easily done by sliding it down your leader to the hook. As in all hook releases they tend to work much easier if the barb is removed. By fishing with your barb down it is much easier on the fish, guide and yourself.
The medium shaft is for fish up to 20 lbs. Comes with a hole in the handle for tying to your vest or pack, a ribbed thumb area for excellent control, and it floats when dropped in the water.
Ideal for situations where you are catching and releasing lots of fish. Also the perfect tool when you do not want to handle the fish such as bonefish as they have a protective coating that can be removed by handling, exposing their odor to predator fish.
