This tape is dedicated to the hundreds of professional fly-casting instructors, friends, and colleagues around the world, who have been kind enough to seek my advice on the best ways to learn to cast with a fly rod.
I've been honing my technique for over 40 years now, and I'm still learning new ways to help both beginners and experience fly fishermen to improve their skills. In this video, I'm going to share my thoughts and ideas with you. We'll go through over 20 of the exercises and "lessons" that I feel are critical in teaching (and learning) fly casting.
Included are specific examples of "how to present information," along with explanations of why I feel it works as a teaching/learning tool. We'll cover all aspects of casting, including special lessons on roll-casting and casting with sinking lines.
I believe that anyone who watches this video will take away some new and valuable insight into becoming a better fly caster. As I've said for years, if you understand the simple physics of casting, and are willing to practice, you'll find that it's not only easy but fun!!!
