If you're on the hunt for Permit, Casa Blanca has the world's largest population. As many as 20 have been boated in a single week on the Fly. It's located on the Yucatan Peninsula and is asscessible by a short plane flight from Cancun, Mexico.

The fishing at Casa Blanca is suitable for any level of skill. The beginning saltwater angler will do well fishing among schools of bonefish which run 2 to 6 pounds, and for variety you might want to try sight casting to Barracuda and Tarpon.

Mexico Sport Fishing - Unless you have been there, it is impossible to imagine a place like Casa Blanca...the vast bays, the immense expanse of flats, hidden lagoons rimmed with mangroves...an endless, isolated world of turquoise shallows, it seems. The lodge itself sits on Punta Pajaros, on the northern tip of Isla Casa Blanca, a small coastal island in the western Caribbean. Here at the mouth of Ascension Bay, where the reef divides the sea from the bay begins to bend inshore. You are in Sian Ka'an, the Mayan "birthplace of the sky". Sian Ka'an is also the nameof the one million acre nature reserve that surrounds and insulates Casa Blanca from the rest of the world. It is as remote and pristine a location as you will find in this hemisphere. It has been said that Casa Blanca has the world's largest population of permit. As many as 20 have been boated in a single week (on the fly!). It is not extraordinary to see within casting range 25 to 50 permit in a single day. It is hard to imagine the surge of adrenaline as you lift your rod, the line sizzling through the water. It is a moment impossible to forget. The fishing at Casa Blanca is suitable for any level of skill. The beginning saltwater angler will do well fishing among schools of bonefish which run 2 to 6 pounds. More experienced fisherman can try for some of the bay's larger singles which run up to 15 pounds. The fish are a wary and formidable quarry requiring a sharp eye and skilled cast. For variety, your guide might suggest trying for one of the dozen species of snapper or sight casting to barracuda or tarpon. But, just make a run across an inlet, slide through the narrow mangrove channels that lead to the bay, and you truly are as far from the world and as close to "the way it was" as you will ever be.

Air Charter Surcharges for all Late Arrival, Early Departure & Partial Week Itineraries The cost of the air charter from Cancun to the island is included in the rates on the Price List, but these rates apply only to flights on Saturday.
