Bahamas Fishing - Pelican Bay at Lucaya is Grand Bahama's newest boutique hotel and where visitors find Caribbean charm mixed together with Western European service. Bonefish ranging from 4 to 8 pounds abound to challenge the skills of both avid professionals and novice light tackle anglers. Many 10 - 12 lb bones are regularly boated here. Pelican Bay uses 16' Maverick Mirage flats boats powered by 90 HP Yamaha motors. Each of the 69 rooms has a private balcony that overlooks the courtyard area and the marina, shops and restaurants of Port Lucaya Marketplace. Guest amenities include a tropical fresh water pool, hot tub and pool bar. Lucaya is a major international resort hub, featuring more than 1,500 hotel rooms; Port Lucaya Marketplace (more than 100 restaurants and shops); one of the world's largest diving facilities, a two-mile beach fronting the Atlantic Ocean and the Lucayan Country Club, with a PGA approved Par 70, 18-hole golf course.
